Under the leadership of the department of environmental science and engineering of Fudan University, a number of domestic and foreign scientific research institutions (including Britain, France and Australia) cooperate to carry out field observation and Research on pollution emission and air quality in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River (from Wuhan to Shanghai) with ships as carriers and carrying a number of on-line and off-line monitoring equipment.
Total length:1075km/strong>
From Shanghai to Wuhan
Time period: 190 hours and 20 minutes
From Wuhan to Shanghai:
Time period: 100 hours and 46 minutes/strong>
Detection of pollutants from shore-based emission sources
Detection of pollutant gas emission from different ships

By means of self-developed on-line, low-power, portable and multi parameter atmospheric pollutant monitoring equipment, we have carried out 24-hour continuous high-frequency observation of major atmospheric pollutants (nitrogen oxides, sulfur oxides, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, particulate matter, etc.) during the whole voyage. Combined with the model and meteorological parameters, we have successfully completed the source attribution and emission factor analysis of various kinds of emission sources (industry, electricity, agriculture, city) along the Yangtze River.
