It is an interdisciplinary study on air pollution, atmospheric chemical reaction mechanism, air pollution and human health in Beijing downtown and Pinggu District, which is jointly conducted by Chinese and British universities, atmospheric monitoring equipment manufacturing and model analysis enterprises.

There are 28 nodes in total; they are arranged at the height of 20-35 meters, and some (No.22) are near the ground; the high-speed sampling frequency of 20 seconds is adopted.

A total of 28 self-developed portable multi-parameter atmospheric monitors have been deployed in Beijing downtown and Pinggu District, such as main roads (ring lines), residential areas, parks, suburbs, and northern mountainous areas. With the North-South transmission channel as the main axis, the air quality heterogeneity, vehicle multi parameter emission factors and fluxes, and atmospheric circadian circulation model of different microenvironments in Beijing have been carried out Comprehensive census and in-depth data analysis.
